The Foundation for Online Computer Security and Crime (FOCSC) is a not-for-profit corporation based in Canada.

Our mission is to help victims of online crime and promote online security to prevent computer crime.

We are dedicated to promoting online security and preventing computer crime, and helping victims of computer crime.

We do this by providing information and resources to help victims understand and deal with the consequences of online crime.

We may also work with law enforcement and other organizations to help make the internet a safer place.

FOCSC’s mission is to promote online security and prevent computer crime by:

Objectives

 

FOCSC is a non-profit organization that promotes online computer security and fights online crime. We promote online computer security awareness, develop online computer security educational programs and promote online computer security training. We promote online computer security research and development, promote online computer security standards, and promote online computer security products and services. We provide financial assistance to individuals and organizations for online computer security purposes. We may lobby governments and other institutions on online computer security and crime issues. We provide a forum for discussing online computer security and crime issues. We promote international cooperation on online computer security and crime issues. We may provide legal assistance to victims of online computer security and crime. We may provide technical assistance to victims of online computer security and crime. We may investigate complaints of online computer security and crime. We may cooperate with law enforcement agencies in the investigation and prosecution of online computer security and crime.

 

Missions

 

  1. To promote, foster, and encourage educational initiatives to combat cybercrime.
  2. To inform and educate the public about the dangers of cybercrime, as well as promote and encourage the prevention of cybercrime.
  3. To educate and inform corporations and business entities of the dangers of cybercrime and promote and encourage the prevention of cybercrime.
  4. To educate and inform the Canadian government and its agencies of the dangers of cybercrime and promote and encourage the prevention of cybercrime.
  5. To promote and foster international relations with other organizations and groups in order to promote and encourage the prevention of cybercrime.
  6. To work with law enforcement agencies to promote and encourage the prevention of cybercrime.
  7. To promote, foster, and encourage research and development of technology to combat cybercrime.
  8. To promote, foster, and encourage research and development of educational materials to combat cybercrime.
  9. To promote, foster, and encourage research and development of legal frameworks to combat cybercrime.
  10. To promote, foster, and encourage research and development of law enforcement techniques to combat cybercrime.
  11. To promote, foster, and encourage research and development of private sector initiatives to combat cybercrime.
  12. To promote, foster, and encourage research and development of government initiatives to combat cybercrime.
